Gray Ops CNC was founded in 2019 by Dave Preston—a national champion marksman with a deep passion for long-range shooting. After years of competing at the highest levels, Dave saw a gap in the market: shooters needed gear made by those who truly understood the demands of the sport. Not theory—experience.

That insight sparked the creation of Gray Ops CNC.

From Basement Builds to a Precision Brand

Born in Northwest Pennsylvania and named after Dave’s firstborn son, Gray Preston, Gray Ops CNC began with a single product—the Mini Plate—crafted after hours in a small home shop. That plate is still one of our best-selling products today.

In 2020, Dave went all-in, turning his side hustle into a full-time mission: designing and machining the highest-quality shooting accessories, by shooters, for shooters.

Built for Growth. Driven by Purpose.

What started in a 36′ x 56′ shop quickly outgrew itself. Within a year, demand pushed us to expand—adding 6,500 more square feet and investing in advanced automation to keep up.

By 2022, the shop expansion was complete. In 2023, we launched “lights out machining”—our commitment to round-the-clock, high-efficiency production without compromising precision or quality.

Who We Are Today

With five dedicated team members (and a loyal German Shepherd on guard), Gray Ops CNC continues to grow. But our mission hasn’t changed:
